Heaviest rain days likely Monday through Wednesday

Thai Meteorological Department daily updates 11 AM when warnings are given  alert dated 11 am, 25 August ↴ "... "Storm “PAKHAR” ...  It is forecast to cover upper Vietnam during 27-28 August, causing isolated heavy rain in the North and the Northeast. American Labor Day 15 years ago

Officially retired from work on August 1, 2002, three months before I turned 58, after 23 years as dock worker.  It's an anniversary I easily overlook.  A month later,  on labor day, September 2, 2002, Consolidated Freightways declared bankruptcy.

Typhoon Hato has done it's damage and has diminished.

Even though TMD had included Sakon Nakhon in it's warning  yesterday, the warning seemed overblown. Heavy rain lasted for about an hour locally. A provincial weather alert issued earlier yesterday seems exaggerated, possibly because of the recent severe flooding and the province ill preparedness.   Those folk in Hong Kong have just enough time for clean-up till the next storm arrives.
