High winds cause damage 50 km west of Sakon City

After weather warnings three days ago by Thai Meteorological Department I monitored weather maps and forecasts on a very regular basis. On the first day most of the winds and rains moved along the southern Isan provinces. No local rain.  Yesterday at the ballgame a slight breeze, but still hot and muggy.    Today's TMD weather alert did not include Sakon Nakhon, suggesting that this storm was unexpected The Home shopping center with a gas station across the street is just outside the city of Phan Khon, 50 km from Sakon Nakhon City.  The storm seemed to be moving South to North. A lesser storm was experienced in Wanon Niwat

The TMD Summer thunderstorm warnings were a bit of an overstatement in regards to Sakon Nakhon Weather. check out the goals for and against columns GF & GA With yesterday's 2-3 loss, Sakon FC has slipped into 11th place.  I have high hopes for next weekend's game in Ubon. Ubon UMT is 'visiting' Yasothon today.  A big Yasothon win today could see Sakon FC slip down the standings ladder.
