SakonNakhon FC - 1 Udon Thani FC 1

Even though SakonNakhon scored the first goal, followed shortly by an Udon goal, it was quite obvious that Udon kept the Sakon Nakhon players mostly on the defensive. Plenty of close calls and 'squeakers' kept fans on both sides on the edge of their seats.

The air got quite thick during half time. While one Thai friend tried to tell me it was just fog, the smell of smoke was apparent. This was obviously smog. I was not in the mood to argue or give English lessons.

While SakonNakhon remains in the middle of the pack in the North Eastern Division, Udon Thani is tied with Nong Kai for last place.

Tough challenges ahead:
SakonNakhon hosts Loei on March 28.  Loei holds the number one position in the Division.
SakonNakhon travels to Surin April 3., to face the team presently in third position.
