the game was one of the more exiting games of the season.
The first goal by Mahasarakham should not have happened,
it was a "kinder garden fumble".
What made this game so exciting was the many close calls... near misses.
Sakon FC had possession of the ball more often than their opponents, they just couldn't turn their possession into goals.
Refereeing was actually not bad, considering they are using Thailand rules.
One instance a Mahasarakham player Tripped with the ball, his hand and forearm where on the ball as he fell to the ground. The matter was simply ignored, the play was considered dead.
With this win Mahasarakham has advanced from ninth to eight in the league. Sakon Nakhon remains number 11.
Mahasarakham accumulated four yellow cards
One Mahasarakham player was ejected from the game during the final minutes, too many yellow cards.
Local fans seemed disappointed over the outcome of the game |
Sakon FC next travels to Nong Kai for a game on September 8, and hosts Surin on September 15.
A Sakon Nakhon win during these games is highly unlikely
