Left an hour early to see the ballgame. It paid off. Had plenty of time to fix a flat tire and still get there before game time. Told the guy at the repair shop that I was in a hurry to get to the ballgame. Two guys had the tire changed in ten minutes. Temperature was hot and humid, I was putting ice on my head and neck. Sure was not that kind of weather when I would exert myself playing football. Attendance of Sakon Nakhon Fans was surprisingly 'plenty,' considering it was a workday afternoon. Roiet had a small but very noisy cheering section, something Sakon Nakhon is in desperate need of Just like other recent games, the action was exciting to put it mildly. Both teams seemed to be close to equal, with Sakon Nakhon a bit better than Roiet. Keep in mind what side of the fence I'm speaking from. The refereeing also seems to have improved this year. A few minor discrepancies here and there, but nothing to be overly upset about. Sakon Nakhon defense is really performing well. It's a busy week for all teams in the league. Sakon FC faced Khon Kaen FC last Sunday, faced Roiet yesterday (wednesday), and returns to Khon Kaen to face Khon Kaen United this Sunday. Next home game is March 28 when Sakon Nakhon hosts Chaiyaphum. |
