Typical in Thailand

Just found out on facebook that Tha Rae is celebrating it's 130th anniversary today. Unfortunately it's too late to make plans. This should have been noted by Thai Tourism offices some time ago. It's very typical for Thailand. Even for last night's party I had six hours notice, lucky I had no plans. I stayed for two hours, then I had enough. But I understand the loud music continued hours past midnight. There is not much you can do about such events.  Permits for loud music, good till 2 am, are cheap. Last time I had such a permit it cost me 50 baht. My music ended at 10 pm Football today at 4
