There goes the neighborhood

Been living at the end of a dead end road since first moving to Sakon Nakhon.
There was talk a few years ago that a highway was to be built past my house.  That idea seemed to have been forgotten.  More recently my neighbor began cutting the two foot high weeds, which caused snakes to seek refuge in my yard.
This afternoon dirt trucks started arriving, apparently to create a road.  This is most likely a project by the property owner, rather than a government project.  Two truck of dirt are arriving every 20 minutes.
If this were a government project, it would be done on weekdays, rather than on a Sunday. There would be a lot more trucks arriving.

Since I have a high wall in front of the house, construction noise is hardly noticeable.  Probably would not have awakened from my afternoon nap, had I not been awakened to come look.
