Thailand news is the lead story all over the world at the moment

Weather: No flooding in the foreseeable future. Occasional scattered showers. I'd say 'unusually dry July.'
Thailand has been the lead story on many news programs since yesterday, when the boys were discovered in  a flooded cave.  Authorities are weighing their options, even considering a lengthy underground stay.  It's a continuing developing story. A telephone cable has been laid with emphasis for parents to be able to talk to their sons.
Plenty rumors are flying, some probably unrealistic, but hey, this is Thailand.
  • Rescuers must apply for work permits
  • The coach may be charged with criminal endangerment
I did mention these are rumors

Observed this place from my house for some time. It's a hot pot type restaurant and the food is quite good

Sakon FC next travels to Surin this Sunday, 8 June.  Had considered seeing the game in person. Five to six hour drive is a bit too much with the prospect of winning not great. No commercial airport in Surin, flying and driving would also add up to half a day's travel.
So I'm hoping for a live feed next Sunday afternoon

Much has changed in the city while the military base outside of town has been walled in, walls at the local temple have been removed changing the atmosphere considerably
