Translation applications can come in handy when you're traveling

Best free translation apps for iOS, Android and Windows Phone | Alphr

My experience with a number of translators, the Thai-English version is far from being 100%
I always translate the translation to insure accuracy

I am most familiar with

Google translate  google.com/#th|en

Anxious people more likely to spread dread rumors, they actually believe are real

Groups tend to spread rumors to feel better about themselves to drive wedges between groups

Human behavior has been an interest since my college days.
Body language tells a lot more than what's coming out of the mouth.
My recent encounter with a false rumor about me sparked an interest to learn more about Rumors

What I learned in school today

Thai education system seems to be geared to supply the tourism industry.  Nothing wrong with that unless too much classroom time is used. These classes generally culminate in what's been explained to me as 'sport day.'
I do enjoy sport days.  Usually start with a parade with a variety of sport and entertainment competition

Spring forward, Fall backwards, no daylight savings time in Thailand ... BUT..

... it's important to remember when watching foreign television streaming, to adjust your viewing schedule.
It's been said that the daylight savings concept is detrimental to business, productivity, health and even lovelife.
Countries can't even agree when the time change occurs.
Time changes occurred already in some nations last Sunday.  The last time change takes place Nov 1.
To add to the confusion, these time changes are on a different days each year.
Of course there is that big BUT 'down under,' where spring is opposite the northern hemisphere where it's fall season

Right around the corner ? Where ? Phone ?

It's cute, well done production, but it leaves some unanswered questions.
On the flip side: I consider public speaking in front of a camera: 'learning enhancement.'

Thailand Education: My Opinion

In Thailand everyone learns to march.
It's part of the educational system.  Many school hours go into the preparation of "School Sport Day."  Obviously there are some lessons learned here which benefit later life.  It's too much emphasized, taking away from the more essential education.
Sport Day is only one of the many  Student Assembly activities including mothers day, fathers day, valentine day, etc.etc,,
This form of education seems to be aimed at entertainment and tourism

Educating Thai

A common factor among all Thai School Children, everyone learns to parade.  It teaches community and order, pride and make believe, with a large serving of heritage.

Thai Education Revolution AHEAD ??

Much has been written and said about Thailand's failing education system.
Little has changed in the past decade.
Possibly the government fears the result of an educated Thailand??

Education minister promises "revolution"
