"The Cave" In Cinemas November 28, 2019

Having watched the story unfold on local news and social media, and having seen documentaries, I wonder how well the movie will be received

Unfortunately a diver lost his life during the rescue

Stock up for a rainy day

Yesterday's storm was a good indication of what's yet to come. Power outages and internet disruptions. Most of the time they won't last all that long, but not all the time.
Of course during lightning storms stay out of the swimming pool.  It's also a good idea not to walk barefoot, especially on wet grounds.
Time to turn on that battery operated fan to drive the humidity away.  A flashlight should be within easy reach
Fully charged laptops, tablets or mobiles and some saved music and movies come in handy during outages. Laptops are generally good for 4 to 6 hours, depending on what you got.
Some movie providers let you download movies. There's plenty of youtube movies you can download.  Add a movie download extention to your browser and stock up on entertainment for a rainy day.

Some things are better not said or written, cause that creates problems

During my early school years, year after year, my report cards repeatedly read: "DAYDREAMS TOO MUCH."
Corporal punishment with a bamboo cane on my palm or bare ass for inattention was frequently.
I missed out on the Attention Deficiency Medication issued a few decades later to anyone not paying attention to a boring lecture.
Age 7, living in an orphanage, I was promoted to bedtime storyteller for the toddler bedroom.  I had a wild fantasy, or maybe I was just talking them to sleep.
Daydreaming is an escape from reality.
Daydreaming the same dream too often is unhealthy.  Your subconscious mind may make it come true. Some dreams are worth repeating.
For me it was a repeated dream I had in the early 1960's. Here I want to retire! Here I am fifty years later. Thailand.
There are great benefits.  On your daydream you can do anything, get away with anything. Never get punished, unless that's your dream.
Of course there is a problem: Recognizing the difference between imagination and reality. Keeping them appart.

A song which I had to memorize back in school in the early 1950's in Germany:
"Die Gedanken sind frei" "The Thoughts are free." the song is from the 1840's.
Video has English subtitles

Let's go to the (subtitled) movies

Notice the movie schedule at Robinson Theater is indicating that they are showing movies with English subtitles
Major Robinson Sakonnakhon - Movie Showtimes

Don't know if my recollection is accurate.  Do remember going to a movie while on R&R in Bangkok in 1966.  Do remember they had ashtrays in the theater then.  Seem to remember they had earphones for English language

100 Years of Blockbusters

Back at the start of the last century if a film grossed over a million ($), it was considered a blockbuster.
These days they are grossing in the billions.

Friday and Saturday, 22-23 May, 2015, at Ram Ratchaniwet (Ban Puen Palace), Royal Thai Army Camp, Phetchaburi.  The venue is a two hour drive southwest of Bangkok
T-POP seems to be Thailand's attempt at the cultural market which has proven somewhat successful with Korea's government supported K-POP
