@Sakon hotel opened a short while back, located half a block east of Big C. I drive by it almost daily and watched when construction started. Haven't seen much online publicity until I came across this Hotel Map  map = link

Fire in Downtown Hotel - No injuries

Friday, July 3   Fire broke out on the third floor of the JPK Mansion hotel, in an unoccupied area.    No injuries, Google translation: "There are just some people who are choking smoke."  All guest were safely evacuated
