Happy Birthday

Recently had lunch with Mister Jefferey where he had to show me the pins sticking out from his toes, a result of recent corrective surgery.
Metal loops  two  toes, I asked when he's getting matching nose piercings.
Mister Jefferey was NOT IMPRESSED

Funeral for a revered local monk

I had met this monk a number of times in the past years.

Not at any temple but at his relatives house:
my neighbors.
He had been ill a number of times in recent years.  Generally spend a few days  post hospitalization here before returning to his own quarters.
My neighbor, his relative, is a nurse at the local hospital.

In the early stages his sleeping arrangements were on the front porch. This was of course done because residents of the home are female.

I knew things were more seriously recently when the Monk was bedded inside the home, while female relatives spent their nights on the porch.

He succumbed to his ailments.  I don't recall the date at the moment.  It's been over a month.
I was surprised that he had not yet been "sent off."

Cremation is generally done within a week at the most. JOEY explained the reason for the delay:

  • He was "Very Revered."

'Sing Phu Phan' Sakon FC on the move

Had one of the football players stop by my house last night.  He wanted to borrow an overnight bag.
Didn't like the bag, so he left with my small suitcase instead.  Think that was the plan in the first place.  He previously spotted that suitcase and expressed a need.  Think I have to go suitcase shopping.

I had hoped to travel to Surin to watch and support "OUR TEAM."

With recent back and neck inflammations 5 hours or more on the road (10 hrs rt), ain't gonna happen.
Telephone updates of the game will have to do till the video is released.

In preparation of the game one Surin writer declared this game as the "Elephant Battle." noting that "Sakon Nakhon FC recently defeated the leader of the herd (Loei)."
Coach Permsap of Surin  expects his team to be on the offense for the entire game and expects to win.
