  Sakon FC vs X-Sakon FC

Nearly two months ago, the coach for Sakon FC quit the team and departed for Surin, taking with him four Sakon Nakhon players.
The final game of the season is a home game when Sakon FC hosts Surin.
That game takes place September 15, with an end of the season party after the game.

Before that, the team travels to Nong Kai for a game on September 8.
As has been with most away games this year, no one is sure what time is game time.
Take your pick: 3:30, 4:30, or 5 pm

As for last week's game, there's been some rumbling why there were no drums or horns supporting Sakon FC.  Team staff were asking: "where was Joey, where was the farang with his horn."

Oh, there were some cheers by a group of fans.  Those cheers didn't get started till a case of beer and a bottle of booze had been guzzled.  Cheers mixed with complaints about refereeing

Another tourist moment in Thailand

  Sakon Nakhon  FC 0

  Mahasarakham FC 2

Even though another loss for Sakon FC,
the game was one of the more exiting games of the season.
The first goal by Mahasarakham should not have happened,
it was a "kinder garden fumble".

What made this game so exciting was the many close calls... near misses.
Sakon FC had possession of the ball more often than their opponents, they just couldn't turn their possession into goals.

Refereeing was actually not bad, considering they are using Thailand rules.
One instance a Mahasarakham player Tripped with the ball, his hand and forearm where on the ball as he fell to the ground.  The matter was simply ignored, the play was considered dead.

With this win Mahasarakham has advanced from ninth to eight in the league.  Sakon Nakhon remains number 11.

Security was in a relaxed NO PROBLEM mode

Mahasarakham accumulated four yellow cards
One Mahasarakham player was ejected from the game during the final minutes, too many yellow cards.

Local fans seemed disappointed over the outcome of the game

Sakon FC next travels to Nong Kai for a game on September 8, and hosts Surin on September 15.
A Sakon Nakhon win during these games is highly unlikely
