Increased demand = increased price

Thailand likely to export more poultry in 2014

The official who came to this brilliant conclusion probably did not have a crystal ball,
rather he came to that conclusion after reading this headline

McDonald’s Japan switches to Thai chicken

I wont need a crystal ball either to predict that chicken prices will rise

Ubon UMT 3 Sakon Nakhon FC 1

Probably the best attendance of any Sakon FC home game.
Plenty of near misses by Sakon FC made for a very exiting game.

How did the worst team in the league  for a number of years all of a sudden become the best team in the league?  I'm taking a guess here, but the fact that the team could bring three bus-loads of fans nearly 300 km  (186 miles) to cheer the team on, tells me there's some big bucks supporting the team.

The Merry Elephant

Mentioned as early as April of this year at siamadvisor,
I had not noticed the Merry Elephant until today while reading The Nation article Tourism Department sets new standard for jet ski rental service.

The Merry Elephant apparently was conceived by the Ministry of Tourism and Sport also known as the Department of Tourism.  I found no reference to the merry elephant at TAT, Tourism Authority of Thailand, which made me somewhat curious if the two agencies consult with one another.

The Merry Elephant is to tourism what the Happy Chef is to Thai dining.
