From Sakon City drive south on highway 223. Turn right at a traffic light intersection on Highway 2325. Distance 23 KM. At this time approximately 4 KM of highway 2325 is under construction. Reduced speed is advisable   Some preparations for the three day event are underway at the waterfront park   Lawn manicure services are on the job  River water level is much improved since the building of a dam a few years ago, but...  ... Monday Sept 14 Tue Sept 15   As anticipated, the center of the storm is far south of us. Tropical storm Vamco is hugging the Thai Cambodia border, and is forecast to be downgraded to a tropical depression Overnight sprinkle locally, just enough to cross off plant watering from my daily routine. Temperatures had cooled enough to be able to sleep without a fan. Heaviest rains still anticipated Thursday |

 Weather alert Thai Meteorological department:The tropical storm “VAMCO” over the central South China Sea was centered at about 250 kilometers of Da Nang, Vietnam, or latitude 15.5 degree North, longitude 110.0 degree East, with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/hr. It is moving west with a speed of 10 km/hr. It is forecast to make landfall over the central Vietnam on 15 September 2015. It is expected to have increase rainfall on Thailand during 15-18 September. All people in the Northeast, the East and the lower Central should beware heavy to very heavy rainfall in this period. The stronger wind waves are likely 2-3 meters high in the Gulf of Thailand and the upper Andaman Sea. All ship in these areas should proceed with caution. The center of the storm is well south of us. Rains probably four days, with the worst on Thursday |

Tharae Road House open again for business
By Larry Nelson of the Tha Rae Road House For my Friends, this Tuesday, September 15th, the Tharae Road House will be open again for business. Finished with the adventure to the very south of Cambodia and back on the bikes. 1722 miles, (2771 kilometers). That is about 10,000 miles on American roads. lol This Thursday, September 17th, we will have the BBQ up and running, featuring the now famous French Thai, thick cut strip loins, cooked on the grill to your order. Comes with baked potato, veggie, and roll. Pool table and music as usual. |
