Sakon Nakhon An extreme heatwave had been forecast by just about all forecasters for the week. I did notice a weather system far to the east of us, and it seemed to be heading east. Unexpected the system rapidly expanded west with high winds at first, then rain and dropping temperatures. It's something not uncommon to the area. I've watched heavy storms approach, then unexpectedly change directions.
