"Use it or lose it."

It obviously accounts for body strength, to maintain it you exercise.
I've always been of the opinion the saying also applies to the brain.  That subject is making headlines at the moment.

I had previously mentioned the purpose of this blog is 'brain exercise.'
Drugs, medication and other factors affect brain functions.
Fluoride is one of those proven factors.
"...  children who live in areas with highly fluoridated water have “significantly lower” IQ scores ..." huffingtonpost
Fluoride is destroying your brain:
Makes me a bit curious what effects toothpaste and drinking water have had on me.
And finally: when we die the brain can remain active for 3 to 7 minutes.  All depends whose research you read.  It explains a lot about those near death experiences of lights at the end of a tunnel and similar experiences.

Esarn Football Dictators in black suits

First of all let's be clear, at football games there are no posted signs forbidding the use of horns or whistles by fans.  In fact many teams sell horns to their fans to cheer their teams.
Occasionally you find these guys in black suits who decide to set up their own rules.  These are not published rules.  These are rules established by the black suits when they feel like it.
There once was a group of fans using guitars to cheer on their team with songs.  That was squashed by the black suits.  There have been incidents when the black suits politely asked not to use bullhorns or other noise makers.  At least they were polite about it.
This time the black suit just went too far.  The black suit had already advised a fan not to use the horn.  Minutes later the fan blew a whistle.  Again the black suit informed the fan the whistle was inappropriate.  So the fan stopped.
The black suit was not satisfied and sent a police force to confront the fan.  Four police officers surrounded the fan from all sides. It was time to leave.  Let's reiterate,  I have yet to see rules 'posted at stadiums' that fans should sit in silence.  I have heard comments that the noisemaker should sit on the other side, no protection from sun or rain.  In that case admittance should be free. It's not the team's doing, it's these Hitler like black suits who act like dictators.

They allow speaker systems so loud that I felt my trousers vibrate from the base. But fan noisemakers are forbidden. Yet road flares, which are more of a dangerous nuisance aren't questioned

No wonder attendance is sparse.
Rules should be universal at all games, published and posted, not made up by black coats who feel superior.

Scattered showers

I call it the doughnut hole effect, weather all around us, with clear skies or light cloudiness in "The City."
At the moment it doesn't look much like a doughnut hole, but the effect is the same.
Safe bet daily stray T-storms,.
Feels like temperatures in 40 to 45 (104 to 113).
High humidity  most noticeably in early evening hours.
Extreme high humidity can generate local T-storms.

Travel Insurance

ThaiVisa News
Thai Tourism Minister to discuss insurance cover for tourists
Tourism Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul said this week that the ministry will invite representatives from the Airports of Thailand Public Company ...

Makes me wonder if she knows of the 'Thailand Travel Shield' travel insurance.
What should be on the agenda is a discussion to make it a mandatory obligation of all tourists as they enter Thailand. It's a requirement in many countries.
I'd like to see affordable coverage for senior expats living in Thailand.  What they call affordable coverage at my age is more than my pension

Next "No Alcohol Sales" day is August 7

I am unsure of the timing involved.
I recollect on previous voting days the no alcohol sales hours started at 6 pm the day prior. That was the case in June, 2011 according to a previous blog entry. Recommend keeping an eye on national news for announcements.
thaizer.com said it best:  Local police use their own ‘discretion’ to decide which venues need to be visited and fined.

Weather seems to be moving from the southwest. The system over us seems to be expanding and gaining strength.
Cooler temperatures for at least a day
