Forecast especially heavy rains Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  After that some scattered rain for at least another week By next week we could even see some planting for that second crop. Second crop is generally early spring, while the main crop is planted in June or July. Of course I have insulation in the attic.  I also have blackout curtains over the window and most of the outside wall.  Blackout curtains are generally a bit thicker and heavier and act as insulation.    I run the AC till the bedroom has cooled down.  When I go to bed I switch off the AC and turn on an overhead fan.  The room remains cool till after I get up in the morning
