A couple days a week I open my pool to neighborhood kids. Some days it gets quite crowded.  Most times a parent comes along.  I prefer when parent come along, seems to keep the rowdiness in check with larger crowds

I'm working on my rail road

Everything had been on hold for a while, awaiting a shipment of rail tracks and other building material.  This morning I put my new skill saw to use and cut out a bridge base which will accommodate two side by side tracks.  It's not the final bridge. It's a lumber test.  Thinking of making the bridge siding from bamboo. Using plumbing pipe as bridge piers Had considered fabricating buildings from cardboard.  Changed my mind when I picked up a cardboard box and it collapsed from the humidity it had collected. Next up, wrap some tracks in plastic and build plaster hills

Gardening is healthy both physically and mentally

Covered walkways are a blessing during intense sun and rain Must wait for those green berries, love em with curry That hanging plant wasn't doing too well, now on the ground it's expanding into a green carpet and bugs don't seem to go near These trees are a nuisance, reproduce like a weed.  Now I'm letting them grow to a certain size, dry out the stems and add them to my HO railroad.

This storm is gone, but the rainy season is not

DOKSURI has move on and is now centered over Vientiane Here at Sakon city some periods of heavy rain, a bit windy, but not as bad as forecast.  Not far from us Tao Ngoi experienced flooding, Nakhon Phanom seemed more in the path of the storm and experienced some damage. I love a light rain, it cleanses the air

A large majority of home cooking is done be charcoal.   Others do it over  a wood fire.    Then there are the many farmers who revitalize their land for a new crop, by burning the field. I love a light rain which limits the smoke blowing up my nose
