Baht remains too strong

I've taken this year's April low and compared it with the January 2016 high

per $1,000 spent 30,983.9 baht vs 35,977.8 baht, a difference of 4,993.9 baht.

Per $1,000 its a $156 spending loss since last year

At $3,000 thats a hefty $468 spending loss

In January 2003 the dollar got you 43.0594 baht.

Horst Menzer Funeral Services

Had med Horst some years ago, but not for some time as he did not mingle much with other Expats and did not reside nearby. 

No shortage of friends as noted by the attendance at his funeral service. His ashes will be scattered on the Mekong river today.

Again it's apparent to point out to all expats, single or married, to have a 'last will and testament.'

If such documents are not available a body is not released until appropriate documents have been processed.  This can involve body storage and other fees.  Of course there may also be legal arguments as to who inherits your property.

It's important for expats to have two wills (testaments): One for your home country and one for the country of your residence

TV Streams and Schedules Update

It's a free service with advertisement, or you can pay $22 per year to avoid the ads. Carries many countries TV.  

I've been watching US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany and a few other European TV stations broadcasting English language movies or TV series.

It's not a five star service, more likely three star.
Not able to get any New Zealand channels except a religious channel.
The UK channel 'movies 4 men' is actually a UK Arabic channel. A few occasional other glitches Fox UK is actually Fox Germany broadcast in English.

Scoreless yet very exciting

I tend to start early for an event, just in case there's a mishap. Sunday was no exception.  I'd been told the football game is in the stadium down the street.  At least they all pointed that way. But then it turned out to be the stadium in that direction a few more miles down the road.

I arrived early, checked out a good location on the sideline with some shade to have a good camera view. No hassle, in fact a police officer brought me a chair.  I declined that offer since I do have a more comfortable folding chair.

U19 football seems to have more energy than the divisional teams.  Best way to describe the game was "fast and furious."

The goal defender was kept quite busy and I thought he was the MVP of the game
