200119 The great plastic bag hoax

It's nothing more than big business cutting down on customer service.

Remember when gas station attendants cleaned your windows and offered to check your oil or tire pressure.  

These days you do it yourself.

Remember when groceries had a checkout clerk and a bag boy or girl.

Used to shop weekly at Big C. Generally six to seven bags per week. 

Never could figure out why they did not use larger bags. 

I put them into two larger bags to hang them on my handlebars.

Also never could figure out why they did not offer to return those bags for reuse.

Most store items are packed in plastic.  Even a six pack of cans comes wrapped in plastic.

I save my large bags and reuse them. All those food wrappings aren't reusable and fill a large trash bag per week

I'm guessing my weekly plastic waste could be compressed into a small brick. 

Separating other waste from plastic I use a small basket each week for trash

Ten days six inches, correct me if I'm wrong

I'm judging the steps to be 6 inches deep.  One more step exposed since January 7

I''m estimating the pipe to be eight inches, correct me if I'm wrong

This pipe leads to a waterpump. The pipe from the water pump is a two inch pump. Water trucks wait in line to fill.  Seems to me a four inch pipe would fill the tanks in half the time. Am I missing something here?

Used to go three to five times to the fair. Used to buy books of tickets and give them away.

The ride people set up a table for me where I could keep my beer

Miss the military firing range with air guns. That was a yearly certainty

Not going to miss the rain, even though we really need it

Things I'll be shopping for this week and next

At a cost just slightly over US$ 10 I replace it once a year.  It gets bounced around a lot hanging on my motorcycle, traveling with me

During daytime admittance is free. Around 5 pm admittance is charged.

Last day and early morning on the day after you can barter for discounts. They won't have to pack it up

200116 There's a few new forms

Was surprised to find myself as the only 'customer' at the Sakon Nakhon  Immigration office while doing the ninety day report.

New extension application is due next month. First time in years without the embassy letter. 

There's a few new forms the friendly officer handed me to bring back with the application

• Acknowledgement of penalties for a Visa Overstay
• Acknowledgement of terms and conditions ....
• Application for extension
• Non-Immigrant o retirement VISA request form 

Three of these forms are new to me. In previous years It was only the extension request.

Bank letter has to be on the day of the request. 
I asked if I could do that the day before.  The answer was:  NO." 

Keep in mind all immigration offices function by the same basic rules and may require other documents
