If you've seen one, you've seen them all
Was on a day tour with a group of Australians at least a decade ago. Mid afternoon the tour guide advised us that we were at the end of the tour, but still had more than an hour due us. She asked us if would like to see another temple. AS we had just seen three temples, the answer was "No thanks, If you've seen one, you've seen them all."
Creating statues of Buddhas and deities is a thriving industry in Thailand. It employs a number of artists and laborers.
Yes there are plenty of copies and near lookalikes.
Seeing lots of temples beyond the more noteworthy ones is not that great of an interest for westerners on a two week or a month vacation.
There is a list of temples in Sakon Nakhon Province at Wikipedia. It's a long list and rest assured its very incomplete.
Which temples to see. First check out some local tours, see what they recommend. Check out what's popular with domestic tourists.
My favorites have been up in the mountains with a splendid view, and temples with impressive artifact collections.
It's an altogether different story for expats residing in Thailand. Then you frequently get invited to various temple community activities
