The team's second game seemed a bit rough, plenty of pushing and shoving that referees seemed to ignore. Then it got into a fisticuff which was quickly subdued followed by a lengthy arguementive discussion.

Even though the date is disputed by some, the team had it's opening ceremony on 17 May 2005 into the professional league. The team had already participated in professional league games before the official ceremony

Think it was more of a provincial entity until 2010 when the team was reborn and control was given to the present owners. 

In 2010 the team was moved to the City Municipal stadium from the Sakolrajwittayanukul School stadium

Most of the Sakon Nakhon team players were brought in from other provinces midseason.  There ain't many locals on the team at this time.

Rasi Salai United is third in the T3NE league and experienced a string of wins this season.
