Sakhon Nakhon reels under heat, drought
The Nation
No reprieve in sight. It's gonna get hotter
Opinion!
Improvement of water reservoirs, waterway construction, flood diversion (capture) projects, dredging and the like, should received higher priority than high speed trains and super highways
A long history of floods and droughts should be a lesson of worse yet to come.
We have the tendency to turn it on to see if it still works.
DON'T DO IT!! You only exasperate the problem.
Immediately remove the battery and place your phone in fresh, plain rice.
Unlike the suggestion in the video of 24 hours, I'd double that time (48 hours). Unfold the phone and remove all removable covers

Pictured on the left is the water level in 2003. The water level was only feet from the tree.

Alvin has been residing in my home office almost three years (May 2010).
He resides in a birdhouse inside his cage.
His house is filled with pillow stuffing and towels.
He regularly gets to spend time outside his cage
He has learned what he's allowed to chew (cement- wooden furniture)
and what not to chew (electric cords).
The call went out for a companion.
Early last month, squirrel in the box arrived.
Twice the size of Alvin, and probably twice as old.
A meeting between the two didn't go well.
Boxy Lady needed her own cage.
I'd considered releasing her.
That decision was put on hold when I heard squeaks from her box.
Last week I had three tiny squirrels scurrying about.
I had to enclose the cage with a smaller mesh.
I'm watching them through a monitor.
They're still quite shy around humans

consider a ban on the sale of alcohol during the Songkran holiday period.Instead of a nationwide ban, nearly impossible to enforce in my opinion, the decision was made to declare specific areas alcohol free areas.
...largely due to illness or accident...
Interesting read.
Some of the points made apply to travelers from other nations as well
Kenneth Diment shared a couple new videos of his March Australia vacation.I was looking at it's regular location.
Obviously I need new glasses.
32 minutes into the game I finally spotted it:
New Scoreboard, with lights.
Two early goals by Sakon FC did not count. Ruled "Off Sides."
The second call was a bad call according to the heckling from the spectators.
For a while it seemed like "Referee Amateur Hour."
One particular moment I was anticipating a fisticuff.
The matter was settled amicably.
Attendance at the game was sparse during the first half.
- Game time had been changed from 5 pm to 4 pm (AGAIN).
- Few knew.
At halftime the stands were starting to fill
A larger audience, more cheers...
Both teams came alive during the second half,
as if they had a double helping of energy.
Or was it a planetary realignment
The fact that Sakon FC won a home game lifted local spirits.
Sakon FC has risen from 13th (of 16) in the league, to the single digit. (to be determined later today)
Three cases under consideration
