  Heavy Rain Alert

Heavy rain forecast overnight Saturday to Sunday and Sunday Bangkok Post

  Sunday Update

Overnight rainfall 3 mm (.12 inch)
When I first read the weather alert I noted some slight chance of rain, nothing to be alarmed about locally.  The weather has been consistently moving mostly from North East for over a week.
Traveling overland, these weather systems tend to be exhausted before they reach us.

Generally during the rainy season the heavy storms come directly from the East.
Nothing big in the Pacific is heading our way.

Hopefully local hot weather and humidity will create some local showers

  Where's the rainy season

Weather continues to approach mostly from the north.

Even though up to 90% rain chance had been forecast daily this week, the total has been less than 10 mm (.04 inch).

Increased rain is again predicted for the weekend, starting with moderate to heavy this afternoon.  Personally I'm ready to post drought alerts

The rumor is that the main store will be expanded with additions to the present building, adding other outlet stores.

All weather services are again forecasting rain beginning late today.
Overnight rain chances increase with occasional heavy rain Tuesday.
According to Meo weather, we are experiencing a four year high in temperatures today

  Eastern League Football

  Referees got no balls

Sakon FC 0
 Udon   FC 3
There is no denying Udon FC is the better team.
First half turned out to be a really good game.
A couple of bad calls by referees were minor and nothing to get upset about.

Absolutely different situation during the second half.

There were a few times when penalties should have been called.
In fact at one point it seemed like the referee backed down after being confronted by an Udon player.

The Udon coach started to get into the face of one referee.  He repeatedly left his designated area.
From where I saw things, the coach became absolutely obnoxious.

The Udon Coach repeatedly stepped onto the field, then called Udon players off the field, stopping the game.

At this point Udon should have forfeited the game, or at least the coach should have been removed from the game.

Neither the coaches or the suits had any balls to penalize the coach and team.
The game resumed as if the whole incident never happened.
No apparent challenge by Sakon FC staff.

Not all referees are bad, but in recent Eastern League games referee inadequacies have been really noticeable.  As if they have their own set of Thailand Football rules.

Got no balls:

  • doesn't have the guts to do something
  • coward
  • lack of ability
