It's a temporary thing, the rainy season
Foreign visitors to this blog have dropped off somewhat, pretty much coinciding with the rainy season. There's a lot more on people's minds these days, than dancing in the rain. The majority of readership this time of the year is typically from within Thailand (50%). Weather alerts, sport events, party alerts, that sort of stuff. Facebook links ↷ This time of the year there isn't all that much in the Thai holiday event schedule. A bank holiday at the end of June. A buddhist (no alcohol) holiday on July 8. Rice planting season begins now. |

Memory Lane 1963 I was really drunk, army basic training. A gang of barracks mates decided I needed a cold shower. Dragged me into the shower. I got away, ran for the door, and then along a busy highway. Now mind you wet white shorts and it's raining, leaving nothing to the imagination. For all intents and purposes, I was naked, running along the highway, chased by the 'dirty dozen.' |

North and South weather systems collide
Electricity and water pressure went off at the start of this thunder and lightening storm. Rechargeable flashlights and USB fans are a must during the power outage season. Candles are OK, but they create heat. This might be one of the wettest season the area has seen in some time |
