Thailand Meteorology Department (TMD) upgraded their precipitation forecast to 80% for the next four days  TMD advisory is in effect on 12 September 2016, at 5.00 a.m. The tropical depression in the South China Sea was centered 670 km southeast of Da-Nang, Vietnam, or latitude 13.0 °N, longitude 113.5 °E, with sustained winds about 55 km/hr moving west-northwest slowly. During 13-15 September, this storm affects Thailand widespread thundershowers with torrential rain over the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East. All travelers should stay tuned for the weather update. The depression mentioned in the alert (1) is expected to cause local heavy rains especially on Tuesday afternoon and early evening Typhoon Meranti (2) is heading to China with Tropical Depression eighteen (3) in hot pursuit, expected to gain Category 4 strength by Thursday
