Sanitize and disinfect with bleach

US public health services recommends 2 tablespoons of bleach for each four cups (1qt) of water. 

This will give you a 1000+ ppm disinfecting solution.

A stronger solution of bleach and water is recommended for cleanup such as diarrhea and vomiting.

Bleach should be applied to an area and left there for an average of ten minutes. Bleach dissipates slowly when exposed to air.  If it dissipates in under 10 minutes a stronger mixture is recommended.

One tablespoon of bleach per gallon of water (50-200 ppm sanitizing solution)  is recommended when cleaning food utensils, counters and tables

I have used a 25% bleach water mixture in a spray to ward off snakes. A stronger sprayer is recommended.

Temperatures rising

Nine forecasting services predict rain next Wednesday morning, 
two of those forecasters predict some rain Tuesday evening and overnight. 
Four other services predict no rain on those days.

By that time real feel daytime temperatures can be expected at 39 C (99 F), overnight feels like no lower than 24 C (75 F).

200222 I have to ease off on the celebrations. Takes too long to recover

Been recovering from a slight case of bronchitis. Chilly nights in a t-shirt did not help.Been quite windy especially in the evenings.
Weather

This coming week expect temperatures to rise.  Last day of February expect feels like high 38 and low 21.The 'real' and 'feels like' temperatures will be parting company: humidity rising.

Been attending local city games and sponsoring a very talented team.

 

Winning the first two games

 Third game was the most challenging so far 0 - 0. A few days rest, then the next game Monday


When these games end, its on to another tournament in Tha Rae.

I was a bit amused when Thai league first posted the team list. The list is in no alphabetical order and Sakon Nakhon is at the bottom (picture left). Saturday results were

• Maha Sarakham 1 - 3 Surin Sugar
• Surin City 0 - 1 Udon United ***
• Yasothon 1 - 2 Buriram B

There was no "Home Team Advantage," all home teams lost.

The name wasn't my choosing, but it should be fun.First game Tuesday

The bring your own bag, bag it yourself service adopted by some major stores has caused me to spend a hell of a lot less at those stores.
Used to go to BigC, only a five minute drive from my house, at least once a week and spend 3,000 baht (US$100) to 5,000 baht (US$ 166) at a time.  These days I do most of my shopping at Macro once a week. Do some shopping at 7-11 and Tesco mini market. Both places I hand them my bag and they bag it for me.
The local Ma and Pa store gets more of my shopping.  They even provided me with a cloth shopping bag.
January I saved 20,000 baht.  This month looks like the same amount, even though I had to purchase and pay installation for a new water pump.

I'll do a bit more extravagant  spending over the next few weeks, as I am sponsoring football teams for two different events
