Dave and Apple have offered to host this event and I am looking forward to seeing my friends from the old Roadhouse days. Should be a gas. Starts at around 2 until the last drunk leaves.

A final farewell and a rekindling of friendships

Had met the deceased Kevin Dawson on a few road trips to Tha Rae at the former "Roadhouse."  Not knowing him that well I had considered not attending the funeral ceremony, but considered it a bit rude. The benefit of such events is to revisit with friends you haven't seen in awhile. It's also the only time sworn enemies meet and behave themselves. There were some friendly faces I should have recognized, but didn't. Possibly I have a slight case of alzheimer's. Old friends become frequent new acquaintances.    Didn't stay for the ceremony. I was anticipating a long day, I had been up since 3 am

The Tha Rae Roadhouse will be closed Wednesday, Sept. 2, 
and will be open Thursday, Sept. 3.
Thursday food fest will feature pizza. Come on by.

The Roadhouse  will reopen Sept 13.

This coming Thursday, the Tha Rae Road House will be firing up the grill featuring pork tenderloins with roll, veggie, and something else.   Feast begins at 2 pm 555. Pool table will be open. Hope to see you here, it was good being open again and seeing my friends

Tha Rae Roadhouse ReOpens

Wednesday, August 12, 2015 Open at Noon visit Larry Nelson on Facebook For all my friends. This Wednesday, August 12th, the Tharae Road House will reopen. The menu will be small, burgers, fries, chicken wings and stuff like that until I can find a new food supplier. But the beer is like ice cold, the music, pool, and dart board is waiting for you. Same hours as before, 12 noon until the last drunk leaves. Hope to see all my friends again, it has been a crazy journey the last couple of months. Also, we will have Thursday BBQ again starting the following Thursday, August 20th.

This week at the Roadhouse

This Thursday, June 4, The Road House will be featuring the now famous thick cut, barbecued and cooked to order, strip loins. French Thai, Bobs Killer Potato Salad, creamed corn, and dinner roll. Rock on. There will be no kitchen Tuesday or Wednesday this week since Pu is having a Tambun celebration for her mother who passed away 6 years ago. Everyone who knows Pu is welcome to stop down at her house if they so wish.

At the Tha Rae Roadhouse this Thursday

For my friends, this Thursday, May 14, at the Road House the grill will be up and running and we will have thick cut strip loins cooked to your liking.  This is probably the finest looking meat I have purchased to date and cannot wait to eat one. Comes with baked potato with sour cream and butter, veggie, and dinner roll. Starts at 2 PM with free pool, great music, and the dart board is ready to be stuck. Hope to see you here.

By Larry Nelson For my friends, tomorrow, May 2, the Roadhouse will be serving authentic Cajun Style Red Beans and Rice. Just like they make it in Louisiana. Red beans, sausage with secret Robert Bob De Angel​ spices over a bed of rice. Come on by and check it out. Starts at 2 PM ON ANOTHER NOTE, I WOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE Kevin Dawson​ and his wife Fa on the birth of their daughter, Margaret. Good job.
