Whether the team remains in fourth place in the league all depends on the final game
The game started a bit lethargic. Oh there was plenty action, but people had time to check their text messages in between the action. Action got more interesting and intense during the second half.  Strange twist of event: Major injury of the day was the referee, who was assisted off the field and replaced  The 2 - 0 win over Loei City puts sakon Nakhon back up to its best standing, 4th place in the league. Weather the team remains in that standing all depends on the final game next Saturday, when Sakon FC hosts Buriram B. |

Big win PLEASE ใหญ่ ชนะ กรุณา
Yesterday's games did not change Sakon FC standings in the league. However Maha Sarakham advanced a point with a draw game and is "knocking on the door." The other important game today is Buriram B vs Surin City. Sakon FC faces Buriram in the final match of the season next Saturday.

Scheduling the Tao Ngoi festival may have been a bad choice. Been traveling the road to Tao Ngoi frequently over the years and have seen plenty changes      The parades are quite elaborate and extensive. This is not a small town parade. The time and effort put into the displays are incredible. It's not thrown together on a weekend.   There's plenty activities for the next four days   Tao Ngoi is a 20 minute drive from Sakon City. Take the highway passed global till you see a traffic light (picture), turn right. When the road ends in a T intersection, turn right

Expect hot action in the final season home games
The game had been a 1-1 tie through most of the time. The game was decided in the closing minutes with a Sisaket goal.  There remain two home games in the 2017 season Sunday, 3 September, 16:00, Sakon FC hosts Loi City
The final game with Buriram B is going to be intense. BB is a new team this season. Early in the season Sakon FC beat BB on their own turf. A home game mid season was a loss for Sakon Nakhon. Buriram B is a typical example of what teams can do when they have the bucks   |

Seven day weather outlook
As there are no major weather systems heading our way. No alerts required, I'll limit weather reports to weekly. Daily occasional rain showers, scattered, here and there. Mostly light, occasional heavy rains. Overnight feels like temperatures mid twenties, then climbing to upper twenties. Daytime high feels like high temperature climbing to a high on Saturday and Sunday. Feels like cools a bit Monday. |

Scenery on a budget
Have to buy some more foam. Holding off till the additional tracks arrive.
The stack of tape gave me an idea for the bridge supports. The foam bridge will be replaced, for now it's for design.
Also collecting cardboard to print out buildings. Tried my hand with a toothpick fence. Think I'll consult a local bamboo weaver. Also experimenting with paints and cements.
The scouring pad green is a bit too dark, I'll need a brighter green

Recent daily weather alert updates by TMD had been issued at 11 am. Today's update was issued at 5 am. The alert is quite general "... isolated heavy rain. There remains heavy rain much of the Northeast." What was a tropical storm (Pakhar) yesterday is now recognized as a mere "active low pressure cell." Heavy rain is still in the forecast for Tuesday. If the recent pattern is any indication, much of that rain will move north and south of the city (hoping). A pattern I've seen frequently over the years. One has to keep in mind: water north of the city drains southward
